The view of a barrel cactus in full bloom, looking directly at the top of the colorful plant. Inspired by springtime in the Sonoran desert, when these cacti bloom in an array of bright colors. Since living in Arizona and discovering these beautiful flowers, I have found the yellow blooms especially mesmerizing. After the flowers die off, they are replaced by a fruit that looks just like a cluster of tiny pineapples!
