Painted at Brothers Drake Meadery on 3-29-23 while Waves de Ache was on stage for Wednesday Jazz Night. All the music played was from New Standards: 101 Lead Sheets by Women Composers. The three women that inspired the theme of this painting are Esparanza Spalding, Nubya Garcia, and Cecile McLorin Salvant. Three incredible modern-day jazz composers whose compositions are featured in the book.
